RRP: $19.00 (You save $4.05)

Product Description

1 of three Robert Parker's Greatest Value Wines of the Year 2013!

90WA "The dry 2012 Botani, made from 100% Moscatel de Alexandria, has been adored by everyone I’ve served it to. Prior to this project, no one had used these grapes except for sweet wines. However, this is one of the most seductive and amazingly perfumed, flowery, dry whites in the world. Coming from decomposed slate and quartz soils of volcanic origin, this 2012 exhibits a sumptuous perfume of spring flowers, exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, peach and apricot, and hits the palate with gorgeous fruit. While there may be a touch of residual sugar, it is not noticeable. Most of these wines last for nearly 70 years of age, so it’s amazing this 2012 Botani can be purchased for $17 a bottle." - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 90 points!

"This pioneering project of the Ordonez family in Malaga reflects the visionary aspects of Jorge Ordonez and his family. Jorge Ordonez and his sister, Victoria, are behind this project, but one should not discount the influence and consulting work of Gerhart Kracher, a member of Austria’s well-known Kracher family. These amazing wines must be tasted to be believed." - Robert Parker

"Pale straw color. Fresh, fragrant and mature, brimming with the aroma of Muscat grape, apple, mandarin orange and a pinch of wilted flowers. On the palate it is fruity and dry, with notes of citrus and a gentle finish." - Winery

Dry 100% Muscat Alexandria, fermented 70% in stainless steel and 30% in oak barrels.

Jorge Ordonez considers Botani his most versatile wine. The surprising originality of Botani is the fruit from a rigorous process of grape selection and the great care taken in the winemaking process. The grapes used in this wine come from the vines from Almachar that grow on the north-facing mountainous slopes. After manual harvesting, at the end of June or the beginning of August, the grapes are brought to the selection table before pressing.

Every vintage of Botani has received a 90+ rating from Robert Parker in addition to various international awards.
